Good morning!

The salmon yesterday was jolly tasty and I enjoyed it.  The chips were McCains (have I spelled that right?) and while they were OK, quite nice, I missed my home made ones which have more 'substance' to them.
I do the salmon by getting some foil, squeezing over some lemon juice from a bottle plus a bit of seasoning, wrapping it up in the foil and baking or steaming it (depending on what else I'm cooking) for between ten and fifteen minutes - that's all it takes.  It ends up soft and flavoursome.

Today's food:
B:  porridge with yogurt
L:  beans on toast
D:  ham salad; yogurt
Ss:  fruit x 2

It's a funny old day today and I'm having to jiggle my meals around a bit which I'm not supposed to do, I believe, but once in a while won't hurt.  I've mixed up my lunch and my dinner and then separated it out differently.

From the freezer:
Nothing.  Must plan more freezer stuff next week.

The frugal factor:
Well - I'm not paying for any of it so very frugal!  But, if I was, it would be a good day, cost wise, the most expensive item being the ham.

  1. I think I'll be living out of the freezer for the next 2 weeks. Lots of ready prepared meals in there and bits to use up. I need the space to!

    1. Exactly my position only it will take longer than a couple of weeks. Actually, the front opening freezer is getting emptier now, which is great.

  2. Afternoon Joy

I cook our salmon the same as you - in tin foil. I will try drizzling some lemon juice on it.

We haven't tried the M*cains chips. Will wait until on special (if I remember). Had M*rrisons and they're ok, but always seem to go back to A*di's.

Just sorted out our meal for this evening - shock, horror. Am running out of veggies.

    Have a good evening.

  3. Oh, goodness, and shops are generally closed tomorrow! Hope you find some.
Don't put the lemon on until just before you cook it.
