 Good morning !
Well, I know some of the recent gain is coming off, whatever the scales say - Yesterday, when I put on a certain pair of jeans, I could do up the zip.  Last time I had to lie on the bed to get them zipped up.   Things like that show the way just as much as numbers.

Yesterday's meals:

Just a bit of fruit for breakfast - mango, kiwi, nectarine and melon and very nice it was too.

I made this tomato and roasted red pepper soup yesterday, reheated it and added just a splash of milk and it was absolutely, totally gorgeous.  So clean and fresh tasting.
I'm extremely glad I have two more portions.
Afters was a plum.

This was very, very nice.  The SW make it at home version of smoky bbq chicken and wow!  VERY much nicer than either the Aldi or the SW ready meal versions.
Here's the recipe again:   https://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/smoky-barbecue-chicken
and I just added some baby corn (because I had some) and a tbsp crucials bbq sauce because I felt it just needed a little something else.
I had a yogurt for afters.

The day's eating was way too low in calories (both the fruit salad and the soup were low) so, instead of eating something worthy, I dived nose first into a tub of Halo Top ice cream, ate the lot (ooops) and enjoyed every single mouthful.  And that took my calories to a sensible number (and took my syns through the roof)

Today's plans:

B:  bacon, beans, mushroom and tomato
I have baked beans left over from Sunday so they have to be eaten today.  Bacon and tomatoes seemed the ideal accompaniment really and I might have grated cheese on the beans
SW:  free and speed, no syns, one healthy extra A if I have cheese

L:  home made Scotch egg with salad; fruit
This is one of those peculiarly SW ideas.  A hard boiled egg and two Linda McCartney red onion and rosemary sausages.  Wrap the latter around the former and bake.  Our SW Consultant, Jen, swears by them.  I'll let you know.
SW:  protein, free and speed, no syns unless I have salad dressing - or I might have some of that balsamic onion chutney for half a syn.

D:  chicken escalope with onion relish, corn on the cob, butternut squash chips and salad; yogurt
This sounds nice doesn't it?  Another Chicken Challenge meal - or, perhaps, just half a challenge because really I did this for the burger last week.
I will flatten out half a chicken breast fillet, dust it in New York Buffalo seasoning which is really very nice, then egg and panko breadcrumb it before frying in spray oil.
SW:  the breadcrumbs for the escalope will be some healthy extra A, most likely half a B and dessert is half a syn.  The rest is speed, protein and free.

Summary:
one healthy extra A
one healthy extra B
one and a half syns (if I have salad dressing)

  1. My mouth's watering at the sight of that lovely bowl of fruit... sadly off limits to me but I can still admire from a distance.
