Hi, everyone!  Welcome to my blog where I talk about my ongoing Slimming World and associated health journeys.

Yesterday, I checked things with Heidi as I was getting messages about losing access to the SW site.  Turns out I had it wrong - you have to weigh once every six weeks, not eight, and you don't lose lifetime membership, you just lose access to the site.  When you next register and weigh, you get access back again.  Sorry if I accidentally misled anyone.

So - my plans are the same.  I'm not weighing at group for a few more weeks but I have set the date for getting back on them-there scales and I will stick to it.  Not being able to check syns might be a small nuisance but not that much - I don't need to check things all that much and I have the book anyway.  I rarely scan things in supermarkets because I cook from scratch.  So the January strategy is the same and works with my Low Spend Month (not paying any fees).
Just call me Mrs Scrooge.

It has been a weird old day today.  First, there was my ongoing back issues which I wish would just do one and leave!
Then I had a session with the dentist to start off some implant treatment.  I didn't fancy having to lie still with such a sore back so I splashed out on some co-codamol which worked a treat and the whole thing wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as it might have been.
At the time of typing, there's no discomfort from my jaw/gum and , while the back is a bit sore, it's not spasming in the way it has been so it's all good.

I'm now on a course of penicillin so the binding effects of the co-codamol and the opposite effects of the penicillin might balance each other out quite nicely!
Fingers crossed.
What I ate today:
I changed my plans around somewhat.

Breakfast was fruit and yogurt with some seeds.
One syn for the seeds.

Not quite your basic baked beans here.
I had half a can of beans in sauce and some canned tomato so I put them together, added a drained can of cannellini beans, some garlic granules, some nice ketchup and some chicken stock powder and it was delicious.  I now have two more portions  in the freezer.
Afters was three small easy peelers
Half a syn for evoo (spray) and one syn of ketchup.
For dinner, I made a simple salad, scrambled four medium eggs with salt and pepper, sprinkled over some grated cheese and added a little bit of Crucials brown sauce.
Surprisingly nice for such a basic meal.
Afters was a bit of cake from the freezer because I wanted something a bit naughty,  I nearly typed 'needed' but, let's be honest,  need has nothing to do with it really!
One and a half syns for salad dressing, half a syn for the sauce, ten syns for the cake and two As for cheese, either grated or nibbled!

Summary:
two healthy extra As
one healthy extra B
twelve syns - so still OK, despite the cake and I can colour my chart green..
Tomorrow's plans:  assuming my mouth is OK and my back allows me to go, I'm off out on a coach trip to London to see The Nutcracker so things have to work around that.

Brunch:  Scrambled eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms - all nice and soft but filling and nourishing

D:  This is the problem.  Depending on traffic, there won't be much time to eat before the ballet and anyway I would rather not so I am going to take a couple of sandwiches, some Christmas cake and an orange - all reasonably soft - and eat it beforehand while on the coach.  I'd take soup in a flask but they don't like hot food on the coach.  It will be too much bread for SW but it should work OK.

Exercise:  None this week because of the stupid bad back!
