Hi, everyone!  Welcome to my blog where I talk about my ongoing Slimming World and associated health journeys.

Sorry about yesterday but there really wasn't any point and, in the end, I wasn't home until well after midnight anyway.
After five days on pain killers and three on penicillin, I can feel my innards are thoroughly unsettled and out of order which really isn't helping so, when I went shopping on Thursday, I got a pack of Activia for gut health.  It's not cheap but it should help a bit (I hope), although I won't start on it until I have finished with the penicillin which is Monday.
What I ate today:

Plans changed again because by the time I had got back from SW it was past breakfast time and I wasn't hungry anyway.
I waited until 12:30-ish before having fruit from the freezer and some yogurt with a good dose of chia seeds 'soaked' in it because you know what co-codamol is like!

One and a half syns for the chia seeds

Later on, after two days of eating soft stuff, I thoroughly enjoyed chomping on a carrot - being very careful to chew on the other side!
It did feel great!

I ummed and ahed about making this a two meal day but then decided to have half of my B bread as toast with marmite on top and an orange.  I didn't take a photo though.
Half a healthy extra B.

I used the other half B to make some breadcrumbs for the fish (haddock), fancied a nice big salad including a coleslaw and had some cheese on the wedges.  Very tasty indeed.  It looks a mess but tasted awesome.
Half a healthy extra B for the breadcrumbs plus some mixed seeds (because I didn't use all the breadcrumbs), two healthy extra As for cheese because why not, one syn for salad cream, one and a half syns for some of my salad dressing and one and a half syns for dried fruit.

Summary:
two healthy extra As (why not)
one healthy extra B
five and a half syns
Tomorrow's plans:

B:  fruit, chia seeds and yogurt - I'm back on the simple stuff

L:  pasta bake, salad; fruit - I have some pasta bakes in the freezer.  I will use one of them.

D:  chilli stuffed peppers using some of the chilli beans I made the other day with some bulgur wheat, a salad; fruit

Exercise:  None

  1. Nut roast tonight. I often have this on a Saturday as it’s a bit calorie dense and this gives me the week to ‘get over it’! Tonight’s is with Red cabbage, peas and parsnips.
In an attempt to minimise the damage I had grapes, an orange and some tuna salad for a light lunch. No breakfast as I go to SW and don’t get home until after 11am. I’ve started walking there. It’s about 20 mins each way and I feel very virtuous!

  4. I did have my first 2 BM awards when I used to go to the gym. I stopped my membership last year )after 14 years). Instead I try to walk for around 45 mins most days and do a mobility exercise class 4 or 5 days a week. I got bored with the gym and now, as a bonus, save £30 a month . I’ll look into how I can progress to gold body magic

    1. The awards really got me into exercise. It doesn't ring everyone's bell, I know, but it does for some. :-)
      xx
