Sunday, 16-02-25

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to my blog where I talk about my ongoing Slimming World and associated health journeys.  At present, I am working to reduce my 'bad' cholesterol through diet, particularly using the Mediterranean way of eating.

What I ate today:

The usual breakfast - I felt warmer this morning.  The fruit was one remaining strawberry, blueberries, a kiwi and a pear.
Two syns, one for chia seeds and one for mixed seeds.

Lunch was one of the frozen pots of roast lamb with roasted sweet potato and parsnips, carrots, sprouts and broccoli.
Afters was an orange.
Two syns to make some gravy with the stock.

I made the sausage dish yesterday.  I used three heck chipolatas (half a syn each), onion, pepper, mushroom, sugar snaps, some chopped tomato I had leftover and some Mediterranean sort of paste that really needed finishing off.  This evening, I added the veg leftovers from lunch too to make a really substantial bowlful.
The cheesy garlic toast worked fine.
Afters was a couple of tiny easy peelers
One and a half syns for the chipolatas and three for the paste (it contained evoo) plus one healthy extra A and one B

Summary:
one healthy extra A
one healthy extra B
eight and a half syns


Tomorrow's plans:

B:  fruit, yogurt and seeds

L:  soup from the freezer, maybe croutons; fruit

D:  creamy chicken and mushroom pasta, broccoli and sprouts; fruit

Exercise:  circuits

  1. You're so good at looking after and cooking for yourself, Joy - many people on their own probably wouldn't bother. Well done. xx

    1. I guess it helps that I have a purpose. Also, I like cooking at this sort of level and I like food. :-)
