Happy Valentine's evening, everyone! 💕
A yummy bowl of fresh fruit (grapes, blueberries, banana and strawberries) with a dollop of sweetened yogurt and a drizzle of maple syrup on top.
Oh, dear, that isn't plated up at all well. I really do apologise.
It was weigh day this morning and I was so pleased with one and a half pounds off. It was so encouraging that, when I did my weekly shop, I was able to just walk past the chocs, sparkly and all that other Valentine's Day stuff. Instead, I treated myself to a bottle of the elderflower presse which is free on SW. I really enjoyed that with my dinner.
I've got to lose two pounds to get back in target range. Can I do it by next week.? Possibly. I'm going to give it a really good go anyway!
I won't be daft - I will just stick to plan. I went shopping this morning so I am well stocked up with speed and free fruit and veg.
The motivation is high right now.
What I ate today:
One healthy extra A, one healthy extra B (incl. seeds as the bread was less than a B), two syns for dressing.
I decided to just sprinkle cheese on top rather than bake it but that's more than uneven, isn't it. Oh, well.
It tasted great - a mix of red onion, red pepper, mushroom, sugar snaps, baby corn, tomatoes, those five meatballs, pasta and grated cheddar with some seasonings. No need for a salad, was there?
I made some fry-yo for dessert - just frozen blueberries, sweetener and yogurt. It was OK with blueberries but I really do think cherries make the nicest fro-yo.
So - one healthy extra A and five syns for cheese (including the cheese in the meatballs) and I think that is all. I don't syn fruit just because it has been blended but SW says you should so everyone needs to make up their own mind on that one.
Summary:
two healthy extra As
one healthy extra B
nine syns - I thought it was going to be more than that. So much for Eat-Your-Syns-Friday but I am totally stuffed and couldn't manage any more, even if I wanted to.
Tomorrow's plans:
B: fruit - it's another walk tomorrow morning, weather permitting, so I am taking fruit
L: pancakes, fruit, yogurt and seeds - as you know, I love pancakes and haven't had them for ages.
D: cheeky peri peri chicken, chips and rainbow coleslaw
- using the spice and recipe that came free with the new SW magazine.
Exercise: a walk
