Monday, 10-02-25

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to my blog where I talk about my ongoing Slimming World and associated health journeys.  At present, I am working to reduce my 'bad' cholesterol through diet, particularly using the Mediterranean way of eating.

It's been a most chaotic day today (downstairs decorating) and I am working to stay calm and settled and to prove to myself that I can stay on plan and not comfort eat despite the mess in my usually almost-tidy living room.
One day down, goodness knows how many to go!

Fingers crossed.
What I ate today:

I used the bit of leftover veg from yesterday's lunch to make a simple bubble and squeak patty.  Just potato, broccoli and some seasonings.  It was OK (maybe just a bit too many garlic granules), nice with the egg on top.
Syn free.

This was really nice.  A 'Greek' salad with watercress, leaves, carrot, pepper, cucumber, babycorn, mixed seeds, lamb, tomatoes, olives and feta all tossed in a lemon oil dressing.
One healthy extra A for the seeds, one and a half syns for olives, one syn for the seeds, four syns for evoo in the dressing.

Later on, I had an orange.

A burger sandwich (basically a toastie really)
and it was delicious.  One of my own home made burgers which I really like, with some sliced onion softened in the microwave and some cheese, make it up and spray fry the outsides.
Two syns for grated cheese in the burger, one healthy extra A for cheese and one B for one slice of my hm bread.

Summary:
two healthy extra As
one healthy extra B
eight and a half syns
Tomorrow's plans:

B:  fruit, yogurt and seeds

L:   beans on toast

D:  Christmas pasta bake (made with leftovers and out of the freezer), maybe salad; fruit

Exercise:  hopefully, Groove and the walk there and back
