Tomorrow is blood test day - the test to find out whether the measures I have put in place to lower my 'bad' cholesterol have done the trick or not. Obviously, I am hoping they have but if not I will carry on anyway with eating Mediterranean style food because it's delicious, healthy, flexible and I feel so very well on it.
I won't get the results for a while but when they are done, they should be on my NHS app so I can check - if I want to.
What I have eaten today.
This afternoon was very complicated so I decided to have a brunch rather than breakfast and lunch. I toasted a slice of my wholemeal sourdough (first attempt ever and not great but nice enough to eat) and spread some smashed avo on top plus some shreds of smoked salmon as well as some salady bits on the side.
Two syns and one healthy extra B
Between personal training and an evening meeting, I had some feta, an apple, a pear and an orange as a snack.
Two healthy extra As
Before the meeting, I heated up a ready meal, chicken Dijon. It should have been after but I was hungry and would have face-planted into the biscuits!
It was OK - not enough veg for the sauce and way too herby for me. Not one I will get again.
Six syns.
Six syns.
Summary:
two healthy extra As
one healthy B
eight and a half syns
And I will be very glad to get back to my normal eating pattern tomorrow.
Tomorrow's meal plans:
B: fruit, seeds and yogurt
L: soup - whatever there is in the freezer! If there isn't anything, I will make a quick something in Thermione
D: chicken traybake, maybe side salad; fruit
Exercise: personal training (Lindsey had to cancel it yesterday)
