Eight days down, seven on plan and one off plan, twenty three to go!
Last night I had such a great Slim Win chat with friends and I'm going to work on being much more reflective at the end of the day about how things have gone and why. Thanks, girls.
At Group (two pounds on, eek, that's what happens when you eat out a number of times through the week) this morning, Heidi challenged us to think of one thing that, when implemented, would mean that when we walked into group next week, we would KNOW the scales were going to give us a loss.
I've had a ponder and it is a no brainer really.
I am being taken out for lunch tomorrow - another very belated birthday gift - but apart from that, there's nothing in the diary that is going to derail things this coming week.
So my response is that thirteen out of fourteen meals this week, starting from this morning, are going to be 100% on track. I know that gives me plenty of leeway and choice and, right now, I feel very motivated.
And I will do a weekly count down (count up?) rather than for the whole month.
What I ate today:
When I got back from group, I had two small apples and an orange.
Lunch was meant to be using one of the portions of tomato and red pepper sauce but when I looked in the fridge, there was a pot of tomatoey curry sauce sitting there. After a reassuring sniff test, I used that and left the other in the freezer for another time. Definitely fusion but it was really nice anyway.Two thirds of an A for cheese, two syns for the curry sauce, two syns for some chive and herb soft cheese I stirred in.
Dessert was some skyr strawberry yogurt for one syn and some strawberries.
I got peckish around half four so I had some toast and marmite - one B and three syns
Chicken and bacon risotto with runner beans. Half an A and one syn for the risotto.Tomorrow's plans:
L: I'm out for lunch - a very belated birthday gift so I will be sensible but this is the meal I can't guarantee to be on track.
D: corned beef hash, runner beans, chargrilled Med veg; fruit
Another from the freezer. I need to make space for all those runner beans that are coming along soon.
Exercise: a walk.
