07-01-25 and a very simple soup recipe

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to my blog where I talk about my ongoing Slimming World and associated health journeys.

I made soup today - I had a container of ham stock marked 'not too salty but be careful' and I also found some yellow split peas, the kind you make pease pudding with, I believe.  To them I added the stock, carrot, onion, garlic, veg stock, black pepper and water, boiled it all up and blended it all dawn and now I have four portions in the freezer.
I know I am trying to reduce my stocks but this is one way of doing it, using supplies I already have to make my meals.  It saves on cooking time and costs too.
What I ate today:

Good old baked beans on marmite toast.  Perfect comfort food.

One healthy extra B and half a syn for half tsp chia seeds in the beans (you would never know)

Later on, I had an apple and a pear.
Another portion of the lamb and beg soup/casserole to which I added peas, bits of cauliflower and bits of broccoli from the freezer.  So delicious and very filling.
Syn free.

My late afternoon snack was an orange and a hm mini mince pie thingy for six syns.

This is (was) the chilli I made on Sunday or Monday.  100g mince and loads beans and veg to make four portions.  I had it with sprouts, broccoli and some bulgur wheat and it was just gorgeous with a blob of yogurt on top.
No dessert - I was full up.
Two syns for the chilli.

Summary:
no healthy extra As
one healthy extra B
eight and a half syns
Tomorrow's plans:

B:  probably beans on toast again to use up the beans,

L:  I'll have had a doing at the dentist so I'm thinking maybe just a smoothie or something.  I suspect soup will be too hot.

D:  I have some pasta bake in the freezer - that's quite soft and won't need a lot of chewing.

Exercise:  Maybe a very gentle personal training session, depending on what back, mouth and dentist say!!
