Saturday, 18-01-25

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to my blog where I talk about my ongoing Slimming World and associated health journeys.  At present, I am working to reduce my 'bad' cholesterol through diet, particularly the Mediterranean way of eating.

What I ate today:

Fruit, seeds and yogurt for breakfast with chia and mixed seeds.
One syn for chia seeds and one for mixed seeds.

Lunch was really nice - a toastie with salad and coleslaw, packed with speed veg and heart healthy oil.
I had an orange for dessert.
One healthy extra A for cheese, one B for the bread, one and a half syns for chutney, one syn for salad cream (in the coleslaw) and three syns for evoo drizzled over the salad.

Later on, I had an apple.

Dinner was that steak and veg, left over from yesterday, and to that I added one and a half syns-worth of olives plus some bulgur wheat and some sprouts because they were going manky and needed using up.  They went remarkably well with the steak and bulgur wheat, surprisingly.
Dessert was two easy peelers.
Two syns for evoo in the veg, one and a half for the olives and that was that!  

Summary:
one healthy extra A
one healthy extra B
eleven syns, pretty much all heart-healthy stuff so that's OK.
Tomorrow's plans:

B:  fruit, seeds and yogurt

L:  soup from the freezer, croutons; fruit
It was going to be the usual Sunday roast dinner but Alex is round for lunch on Monday so I will have that then as he does love a roast dinner.  

D:  cheesy spicy bean jacket potato (beans from freezer), salad, coleslaw; fruit

Exercise:  Back exercises, maybe some gardening
