Good morning!
Referring back to yesterday, I can't properly work out the calories for dinner because it's from the freezer but that's OK - using calories is just a second string to the bow, a way of keeping a rough eye on the free foods, particularly the carb based items - rice, pasta and potato, for example

Yesterday's meals:
No photos - breakfast was still at Potters, lunch was rather on the run and I couldn't be bothered to dig out my camera.  Suffice it to say, lunch and dinner were absolutely fine and SW friendly
Today's plans:

B:  cloud pancakes with fruit and yogurt
This is the fluffy sort of soufflé mixture I make and I will put dollops on oven trays on parchment and cook in the oven.
It will take two eggs, some yogurt and some skinny syrup plus some fruit
SW:  half a syn for some Mullerlight and two for some Groovy Food Company syrup and the calories work out as 313

L:  chicken, pepper and mushroom in a cheesy sauce, rice; salad; apple
This is what I made last night to have with pasta.  It made enough for two portions.
I spray fried onion, yellow pepper and mushrooms, added some sliced chicken and when that was almost done, added some chicken stock, garlic granules and a tsp Dijon mustard.  Just before serving, I melted in five laughing cow light blue cheese triangles and added some cooked pasta.  It was delicious.
SW:  half a healthy extra A
The calories for the non speed food comes to 285 cals (including brown rice) and the apple will be around 70 als

D:  turkey curry, chips, mixed veg; yogurt or kvarg
The curry is from the freezer, made from Christmas leftovers, and I just fancied a few (home made) chips with it.
SW:  two syns for the curry and half a syn for yogurt or kvarg.
No idea of calories overall but the chip potato is 123.

E:  Kettle exercises, a walk

Summary:
half a healthy extra QA
no healthy extra B
five syns

From the freezer:
raspberries
turkey curry
mixed veg

Good morning!
I'm just home after a fabulous weekend away with a group at Potters.  The whole thing was great and the food, etc, was amazing.  I'm afraid SW went totally by the way and I ate and drank with much enjoyment.  It was all-inclusive so . . . I was going to say 'why not' but I can think of plenty of reasons why not!  However, all done now and the clothes are feeling tight so it is back onto it again!

I won't bore you with too many numbers but I am going to apply some calorie control to my SW based meals for a few weeks, just to get things properly 'adjusted' again.  I'll use nutracheck but sort of modified.  I will count units of fruit because it's simple but when it comes to the speedy veg, I really can't be bothered to list and count.  So if I stick to around 1000 calories plus speedy veg, that should work out about right although if  I find it's hard to sustain, I will up it to 1100 instead.  Trial and modifications!
But it will definitely be SW structured, without any doubt.

Today's plans:

B:  Breakfast was at Potters and very nice it was too.
SW:  totally no idea but I made the most of what was on offer!

L:  hm soup, croutons; apple
Immediately, my new angle of attack crashes as the soup is from the freezer and I have no idea of calories so I will have to be totally arbitrary about it.
SW:  healthy extra B, the rest is syn free

D:  chicken and  mushroom in a soft cheesy sauce, either pasta or rice, mixed veg
SW:  I'm calling the soft cheese a healthy extra A although it isn't really - it used to be though so I'm not being too naughty really.  I suppose I could use some triangles, then it would be fine.

E:  I think I've had enough exercise to last me out for today - I haven't gone to circuits (not home in time) and Lindsey has given me a slot on Wednesday morning in one of her other small groups to catch up.

Summary:
up to two healthy extra As
one healthy extra B
no idea of syns because of breakfast

From the freezer:
soup
bread
chicken
mixed veg

The weekend

Three course breakfast, three course lunch and three course dinner.  Haven't they ever heard of Slimming World Syns here???

Trying to be good (two course breakfast and lunch finished with delicious fruit rather than nasty, naughty creamy things) but I suspect tomorrow will be a different story!!

AND I was asked if I wanted prosecco with lunch.  Ooooh, it was hard to say no thanks!

 Good morning!
This is the last entry for a few days as this afternoon I am off up to Potters for the weekend.
This is Potters
https://www.pottersholidays.com/
Lindsey has organised a weekend there for a group of us, running fitness classes Sat and Sun mornings.  There's plenty to do - a gym, a pool, loads of walks, but it's all inclusive and drinks are included so I will need to be very strong willed.
So no more blogs until Tuesday, probably.

Thursday, 03-03-22

Good morning!  Really sorry this is so late - I had a late start and everything is behind.

Yesterday's meals:

All these 'cloud pancakes' were two eggs and one pot of quark, plus a bit of skinny syrup.  I will not try to cook them on the teppanyaki again, dollops on an oven tray in the oven will work much better

I didn't have the planned choccy sauce.
This was very tasty - leftovers always taste better, don't they?

I totally forgot to take a photo of dinner.  Fish, chips and peas and it was really nice.

Today's plans:

B:  weetabix
. . . and milk, etc.
SW:  half a healthy extra A, one healthy extra B

L:  tuna couscous salad; fruit
Sorting out my dry goods has made me very aware of what I actually have and I do like couscous.  I will rehydrate it with stock and add peas, red pepper, cucumber, etc and some flaked tuna plus, most likely, some super light mayo and serve it on salad leaves.
SW:  up to two syns for the mayo but the rest should be syn free

D:  burger, salad, wedges; yogurt
No roll though, just the burger, home made.
SW:  one syn for some mayo, half a syn for some bbq sauce on the burger and half a syn for dessert.

E:  Up and down stairs and kettle exercises

Summary:
half a healthy extra A
one healthy extra B
four syns

From the freezer:
the burger

Good morning!
Well, yesterday went loads better, thank goodness, apart from a minor accident with some Hi Fi bars come the evening which won't have been a disaster, just a nuisance.

I'm really, really low on fresh vegetables, having finished off most of them for Sunday lunch but I've decided I'm not going to do a shop this week.  I have enough, including stuff in the freezer so can manage and I'll stock up again next week.
Yesterday's meals:

In the end, I used wholemeal SR flour to make these pancakes and they were delicious.  I had some agave nectar on top and a lemon kvarg inside and yummy!

After all, one HAS to have pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, doesn't one?
This was the chicken and veg soup I made on Monday but didn't have and, my word, it was good.
Dessert was an orange.
I changed the plan and had the sweet and sour chicken and noodles that I had planned for Monday.
Shrove Tuesday is all about using up bits and bobs before Lent starts (I'm not 'giving up' anything for Lent unless I can think of something useful - any ideas?)
So I used up:
two nests of egg noodles that came with a Hello Fresh meal and didn't get used
the last of a bag of frozen stir fry veg
a sachet of sweet and sour sauce that was < whispers > past its best by date
and nearly all of the rest of the chicken from the Sunday roast

It all actually made two portions so that is lunch today sorted out.

Today's plans:

B:  soufflé pancakes with agave nectar and fruit
This is the recipe that just uses separated eggs, yogurt/kvarg and flavourings.  I usually make a roulade but this time I will make it into sort of pancakes with some frozen raspberries (from garden and allotment) and choccy sauce
SW:  10g of the chocolate sauce from the Groovy Food Company is one and a  half syns

L:  the other half of the sweet and sour chicken and noodles; fruit
SW:  three syns for the sauce

D:  fish, peas and chunky chips; yogurt
I will egg-and-breadcrumb some fish, probably cod, from the freezer.
SW:  half a B choice for the breadcrumbs and two syns for a tsp oil for the chips.  The yogurt is half a syn

E:  personal training with Lindsey

Summary:
no healthy extra As
half a healthy extra B
seven syns

From the freezer:
raspberries
fish
breadcrumbs
peas

Good morning!
As the saying goes, The best laid schemes o' mice an' men / Gang aft a-gley, and so it was yesterday.  When I got home from the course I just totally lost it and ate my socks off.  Why?  No idea - but it was nice!
Not so nice today though as my conscience clicks in so it's back on the wagon once more and remember that it's just one day, one blip, it's not the end of the whole story by a long shot.

No photos.  😢

Today's plans:

B:  oat pancakes with fruit and yogurt.
It has to be pancakes, doesn't it?  I might do the extra fluffy ones or I might be naughty and count 40g wholemeal SR flour as a B choice - after all, it is when you have it in wholemeal bread.
SW:  one healthy extra B

L:  chunky chicken and veg soup
I made this yesterday but never had it.  It actually made two portions so one's in the freezer and one's in the fridge for today.
SW:  syn free

D: Spiced chicken and lemon pasta, veg; yogurt
Another from the Frugal Queen in France site and I'm changing the pork in the title (which is sausages) to some of my leftover chicken.
SW:  it looks syn free as long as I use spray oil.  Dessert will be half a syn.

E:  kettle exercises and some of Lindsey's clips on YouTube

Summary:
one to two healthy extra As
one healthy extra B
four and a half syns

From the freezer:
fruit

Into the freezer
three portions of home made chicken stock
one portion of chicken and veg soup
ooops!
