Referring back to yesterday, I can't properly work out the calories for dinner because it's from the freezer but that's OK - using calories is just a second string to the bow, a way of keeping a rough eye on the free foods, particularly the carb based items - rice, pasta and potato, for example
Yesterday's meals:
No photos - breakfast was still at Potters, lunch was rather on the run and I couldn't be bothered to dig out my camera. Suffice it to say, lunch and dinner were absolutely fine and SW friendly
Today's plans:
B: cloud pancakes with fruit and yogurt
This is the fluffy sort of soufflé mixture I make and I will put dollops on oven trays on parchment and cook in the oven.
It will take two eggs, some yogurt and some skinny syrup plus some fruit
SW: half a syn for some Mullerlight and two for some Groovy Food Company syrup and the calories work out as 313

L: chicken, pepper and mushroom in a cheesy sauce, rice; salad; apple
This is what I made last night to have with pasta. It made enough for two portions.
I spray fried onion, yellow pepper and mushrooms, added some sliced chicken and when that was almost done, added some chicken stock, garlic granules and a tsp Dijon mustard. Just before serving, I melted in five laughing cow light blue cheese triangles and added some cooked pasta. It was delicious.
SW: half a healthy extra A

The calories for the non speed food comes to 285 cals (including brown rice) and the apple will be around 70 als
D: turkey curry, chips, mixed veg; yogurt or kvarg
The curry is from the freezer, made from Christmas leftovers, and I just fancied a few (home made) chips with it.
SW: two syns for the curry and half a syn for yogurt or kvarg.
No idea of calories overall but the chip potato is 123.

E: Kettle exercises, a walk
Summary:
half a healthy extra QA
no healthy extra B
five syns
From the freezer:
raspberries
turkey curry
mixed veg
Sounds like you've got it all in hand, Joy. You know what you're doing. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sooze. Plans are one thing; following them through is a different matter but fingers crossed, eh?

I love reading through your meal plan and positively drool at some of your planned meals.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. Certainly, I think we both know that healthy eating certainly doesn't mean boring eating in any shape or form.
DeleteI really enjoy the planning part of it all.

Hellooo - here on the laptop. Your pasta sauce sounds lovely -I'm not a blue cheese fan so would use normal laughing cows - or should I try it??
ReplyDeleteWey hey!! You're here again!
DeleteIt really does make a very nice sauce, using stock and cheese triangles. It can be a bit thin but when you add the cooked pasta, it thickens well.
The 'blue' triangles don't taste blue in the was Stilton, etc, does, it just has a bit of a tang and works well in the sauce. However, the normal light triangles work just as well and they are both 25 calories or five for a Healthy Extra A.
