Tuesday, 2-1-18

I'm not in charge of providing the food today, just preparing it.  I suppose that's the most frugal way of all - when someone else is paying!

This is what I'm doing
B:  porridge with yogurt and marmalade
L:  a soup made from last night's leftovers with additions
D:  pigs in blankets (Christmas leftovers, frozen), sprouts, mash

No waste, even when someone else is providing.  Nice one!

The soup will be made from turkey hot pot.  I will dig out the turkey chunks and shred them, mash up the rest, add some extra stock and then cut the corn off half a corn on the cob from yesterday evening (garden produce, frozen) that was left over and toss that back in with the shredded turkey.  It should make a very nice soup.
