In comments, Jeanette asked if I could post how I made the falafel. Please just bear in mind that this was not an authentic recipe in any way whatsoever. I didn't even use chickpeas (although I could have).
To make six falafel:
about 2/3 can of borlotti beans (any canned pulses would do), rinsed, drained and dried off a bit.
1 medium onion
bit of carrot
Pop these in a mini blender and give them a bit of a zizz to maker a not-quite-smooth mixture.
Add spices of choice - I used 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp ground coriander, 1.4 tsp ras el hanout, a squidge of garlic puree, salt/pepper, 1/2 level tbsp flour (I used rye) and 1/4 tsp baking powder.
Mix it all well together, shape into balls or patties with damp hands to prevent sticking and chill before cooking.
I cooked them in the air fryer but you could use a pan (turn them carefully) or in the oven.

What I have eaten today.
First of all, no photos.
I had a very light breakfast of an apple, and orange and half a dozen strawberries. That kept me going until I was at Beth's.
For Alex's birthday lunch/tea I had one ham sandwich, one Delia veggie sausage roll, a few crisps, some red pepper sticks, one half slice of hot cross bun loaf and lots and lots of watermelon. All very nice if not terribly healthy.

I wasn't terribly hungry for the rest of the day so I had a few cashews and an apple and that did me.
Back to normal tomorrow which might be a little bit chillax but not all that much.
Tomorrow's meal plans:
B: sourdough eggy bread, tomatoes
L: falafel-burger, salad; fruit
D: steak or salmon, chips and salad; fruit
I haven't had steak for the longest time and this will be a real treat.
Exercise: a walk.
