Hope you're feeling better today, Joy. I love tuna mayo (with a bit of grated cheese) on a jacket spud. xx
ReplyDeleteI think maybe I need to cut down on the cheese a bit until I get the cholesterol under control. It's not totally out - I couldn't manage that!

You sound a bit chirpier today, hope you are feeling more like yourself. I was stunned when I saw how big a suggested portion of cheese is. That would hardly fill one sandwich for us cheese lovers.
ReplyDeleteIt really isn't much, is it? We can change our expectations so good luck to us.

I'm in the same position as you needing to lower BP and reduce cholesterol. I've already had my first review and cholesterol is down through dietary changes. I opted to reduce the amount of meat in my diet and to increase vegetarian meals, so I now eat vegetarian every other day and only have meat twice a week maximum. The other two days I have fish. On the days I eat meat it is for one meal only and the other meals are vegetarian.
ReplyDeleteThe big difference between us is that, due to allergies, I don't have much dairy so cheese (which I love) is an occasional treat.
THank you for this advice. I like vegetarian food so it won't be a hardship.
DeleteWell done for getting it down and good luck for continuing.
