Good morning!

I went to Sainsburys yesterday, specifically to try their next size down tights and, guess what, they fit!  No more Norah Batty ankles, thank goodness.  I shall take my two older, unopened boxes of tights to the charity shop.
As they had 25% off all clothes, I had a look round and got a few things in smaller sizes, all of which I shall use a lot so I don't consider I have wasted anything.  In fact, I was quite pleased as I don't have many clothes in smaller sizes and will need some.

After that confession, here's today's menu:
B:  porridge and yogurt
L:  cheg and salad
D:  salmon spaghetti; yogurt
Ss:  apples

From the freezer:
some grated low fat cheese for the cheg
A piece of salmon

The frugal factor:
Porridge - can't be beat!
Cheg (with two eggs) is not expensive and the salad will be very simple.  Nothing fancy or expensive.
The piece of salmon is not cheap but the rest of the dish will be.

I shall enjoy my meals today - I hope you enjoy yours too.

  1. I really like TU (Sainsbury's) clothing and underwear. Lots of it is comparable with M&S and being able to get 25% off regularly is a bonus. Well done on dropping a size Nora! HAHA.

  2. Afternoon Joy

Well done on the weight loss and size reduction. How wonderful for you and very morale boosting. It makes it worthwhile eating sensible portions and healthily. With the added bonus of keeping costs down. WHEN the weather gets a bit warmer, I shall be having salad and trying out Cheg with salad. I love salmon too. In fact, I rarely eat red meat and then it's 5% beef mincemeat. I shall be trying turkey and pork mincemeat.

    Have a good afternoon.

  3. Sainsburys leggings, 2 pairs for £10 are the best I've tried, but I do have to shorten them. Curiously they are better than the single pair they sell for the same price!!
I just ordered a couple of packs with 25% off, so 4 pairs for £15. Excellent!
