Morning!
I'm back and what better time to restart my SW journey than the first day of a new month.
My friend, who came on holiday with me, is staying for breakfast and then she is off and I am back on! I have a bit of catching up to do. Yes, it was an active journey, but there was wine and there was ale and, best of all, there was cheese, lots of lovely cheese!!
I'm feeling rather stodgy and ready for some cleaner eating again on the good old Slimming World plan. I don't weigh until next Friday so we will see.
We've eaten well though. A proper breakfast that was definitely SW friendly, a few lunches at the cottage but mostly in little eateries and a home cooked meal in the evening. It truly could have been a lot worse!
Today's plans:
B: scrambled eggs on toast
Because I have eggs left and wholemeal bread to use up.
SW: half a healthy extra B for bread
L: crustless quiche, salad; fruit
I said in my other blog that I found the perfect pan for an one-person quiche/frittata/Spanish tortilla/whatever. The same size as one egg frying pan but with high straight sides and a metal handle so it can go under the grill or in the oven. Sadly, it doesn't quite fit in the Ninja but I guess you can't have it all!
SW: one healthy extra A for grated cheese and a couple of syns, maybe, for some mayo or salad cream.
D: something pasta based, side veg; yogurt
There's a bit of ham left over so I will pack in the speed veg, add some chopped tomatoes, herbs, etc, add cooked pasta and melt over some cheese. Should be delicious and enough for tomorrow too.
I'm also having a bottle of the Eyam Brewery ale I brought home. It's not on the SW list but I'm estimating nine syns (taking a sort of average of the ones that are on the site)
SW: one healthy extra for cheese, half a syn for yogurt, nine syns for ale
E: not much today
Summary:
two healthy extra As
half a healthy extra B
eleven and a half syns.
I liked the sound of your pasta dish and as soon as I got to the 'cheese' part I decided that it is what I am cooking for tea. I'm aiming to lose a stone before Christmas so I've just started following some of your meal ideas and have already lost a pound. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWow - well done, Cherie. There's something about cheese, isn't there!!
DeleteSo snap for teat tonight! xx
