 Good morning

I really fancy making some soup today.  I have carrots that are starting to go over so I think I will make some carrot and lentil, maybe with a bit of spice.  That will be a perfect SW SP meal, tasty and low in calories.  It'll just be carrot, onion, red lentils (which are counted as protein so OK for SP) and some of my lovely turkey stock for great flavour.  I'm not sure which spices yet.

What soups do you like making (or buying)?

Yesterday went loads better than Monday so I was relieved.  I'm taking it one day at a time, maybe even one meal at a time.

Yesterday's meals:

A bright and cheerful breakfast, even though one potato waffle fell apart before it touched the toaster.
The turkey pie tasted just as nice the second time as it did the first.

Through the afternoon I had two apples and two easy peelers.

This was OK - I wasn't totally convinced by the sauce but, to be fair, I used frozen mango which is pretty tasteless compared with the fresh stuff.  However, the idea of marinating a slice of chicken is one I've kind of forgotten about over the months - it was nice from that angle.  The veg was leftover from lunch and the other was the roasted root veg and sprouts I did last week and froze the leftovers.

I finished the day's eating with a kvarg.

Today's plans:

B:  mushroom and bacon cheesy omelette with tomatoes on the side (or on the top!)
I might not have the cheese, I'll see how I feel when it comes to it.
SW:  three syns for 15g grated cheddar as I have planned my A choices elsewhere

L:  cheesy beans on toast; fruit
I'm looking forward to this!
SW:  one healthy extra for the cheese and one B for two slices wholemeal

D:  steak loaded jacket potato, mixed veg; yogurt
The steak is a tin of the M&S chunky steak - not that cheap but very lean, melt in the mouth meat with a delicious gravy and SW free.
I will do the potato in the actifry - it's totally trouble free - and I expect I will add some cheese on top because, you know, jacket potato . . .
SW:  one healthy extra A for cheese and half a syn for yogurt

E:  an hour of personal training today plus the squat challenge (which I've just done - I beat the kettle this time - just)

Summary:
two healthy extra As
one healthy extra B
three and a half syns

From the freezer:
bacon
mixed veg
bread for toast

  1. I was lured into a squat challenge by a friend a few years ago, it really did make a difference by the end of the month!

  2. Mornin' Joy. I'm going to lift some bone broth out of the freezer and use it as the base for a spicy turkey and veg soup for tea.
