Yesterday's meal photos:
I hadn't realised there was so much choppy salad left from the day before - it was lovely dressed with some balsamic vinegar!
Later on, I had a plum and a banana.
This worked really well, using a can of Aldi chicken in white sauce and adding extra stuff. It made a sort of very filling, very tasty chunky soup an it would have been lovely with pasta and/or white beans and a splash of cream or creme fraiche would have worked too. No need for any thickener by the time all the vegetables were in.
There's a good portion left over too.
There's a good portion left over too.
In no particular order, it contained:
chicken in white sauce, ham, onion, yellow pepper, baby corn, mushroom, broccoli, peas, mushroom, garlic granules, chicken stock powder and a little water, NO salt and a splash of lemon juice just before serving.
Definitely one to remember and make again - it was so tasty.
I had the usual Mullerlight yogurt for afters to finish off the day's eating.
Today's plans:
It's a bit complicated today because a friend is coming over early and we're off into town so I have to work around that.
B: a banana before town and other fruit/yogurt afterwards, maybe, depending on how close to lunch it is. The banana will keep the wolf from the door.
SW: half a syn for yogurt
L: The rest of the ham, chicken and veg casserole/soup; fruit
I'll simply reheat it, there's no need to fancy it up any more.
SW: half a syn (the whole can is one syn and everything I added was syn free)
D: salmon, broccoli, cauliflower; yogurt
I haven't had salmon for ages so it's about time I did.
SW: half a syn for the yogurt
Ex: walking round town
Summary:
no healthy extras planned in today - ooops
one and a half syns
